Good morning. I look forward to seeing those of you attending today's meetup at Saratoga Steaks. On such a gloomy day, you might want to consider following up brunch by "following" Sally Roesch Wagner to Fayetteville for the event below for a totally interesting afternoon.

Matilda's Harvest:
A Celebration at the Wellington House
Nov. 22, 2009
1-4 p.m.
Sponsored by Tom Thomas & the Wellington House
To Benefit the Matilda Joslyn Gage Foundation
Enjoy fine food and conversation in an elegant turn-of-the century setting. Watch historical enactor Denise Butler perform as Matilda Joslyn Gage. Bid in live and silent auctions just in time for holiday shopping. Choices will include a collectible cartoon print on the ERA issue framed and signed by women's rights icon Gloria Steinem, a vacation in Cancun, an array of gift certificates for local goods and services, and more.

Tickets $30

Food and drink. Entertainment. Live and silent auctions. Valet parking.
The Wellington House is located at 7262 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville, N.Y.
This event raises funds for the Gage Foundation, which is restoring the Matilda Joslyn Gage Home, a unique place where we share Gage's legacy of social justice and prepare the future keepers of democracy. While many historic homes have one story to tell, the Gage Home is significant because it interprets a rich five-dimensional segment of U.S. history: women's rights, abolition, the Haudenosaunee influence on democracy and women's rights, the ongoing struggle to keep religion separate from government, and the vision of peace and social justice presented in the Oz books written by Gage's son-in-law L. Frank Baum. The house will open to the public in 2010.
