What we're about

Was your favorite part of school when you went on field trips? Did you enjoy history classes but hated quizzes and tests? Are you new to Connecticut or lived here all your life and want to discover more about this state?

Then this group is for you! Our goal is to get together with other life-long learners who want to explore all that this state has to offer. Together we'll learn about the people, places and stories that make up the history of Connecticut. This is an informal, casual group that thinks learning can be fun!

Join us as we visit museums, unique sites, old cemeteries, historic homes and other Connecticut landmarks. Many of the places we visit will be free, but a few may require an entrance fee. We may also have lunch or beverages after our Meetups at any local eateries.

There are so many people who complain about everything bad in this state. This group is an attempt to attract optimistic, curious people who can appreciate all that we have in our own backyards!
