This event will be managed on Eventbrite - please use this link to secure your spot on the workshop: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/project-management-developing-successful-stakeholder-agreements-tickets-46664692351 Has a client ever said to you, "that's not what I asked for!" when you reach the end of the project? Have you ever experienced a deep fear that the scope and intent of a project at its inception will not remotely resemble the end result? If you answered yes to either question, this workshop is for you! Join CT UXPA in a half-day workshop presented by Dan Klyn, information architect and co-founder of The Understanding Group, to learn how to create a high-fidelity model of project stakeholders' intent for a given product or service- before the project begins. This modeling process has been refined in commercial engagements with more than 100 clients over 7 years of information architecture consulting practice, and its outputs provide an invaluable basis for attaining durable agreement between stakeholders and project team members alike regarding "what good means." Speaker Bio: Dan Klyn is an information architect from the United States, and co-founder of The Understanding Group (TUG). He’s interested in planning, strategy, and architecture for places made of information, and teaches information architecture at the University of Michigan School of Information. Klyn's research is focused on applying the teachings of Richard Saul Wurman and Christopher Alexander in digital practice. In April 2018, he completed a two-year term as President of the of the Information Architecture Institute (https://www.iainstitute.org/). Image credit: Gusto Design, gusto.com
