Our vibrant membership of openHAUS coworking is made better through community events that are not only for members. This meet up group will connect you with our lunch and learns, happy hours and community gatherings that are open to the public, fun and valuable in your pursuit of your artwork, small business, freelance efforts, or community work.

We have a few recurring activities that we want to open up to you.
-BlackFridays: free coworking in our community every Friday for all BIPOC, a time to connect, share resources and work together.
-Lunch and Learn: monthly session to break bread together while learning something new from one of our members or guests.
-openHAUS bookclub: Bi-monthly gathering to discuss fiction and non-fiction that amplify's diverse voices and perspectives
-C4: Community connections and creative challenge with coffee, conversation, and collaboration
-happyHAUS: happy hour, potluck and game night. Family friendly and fun.
-special activities and events as they come up.

Come cowork with us by donation every Friday. Why Black Friday? Every week we hold space in an intentional way for our community to be productive together and connect. Many portland spaces cater to white audiences and we are flipping the script and embracing, celebrating and catering to our BIPOC community. Who is black friday for? Folks who identify as Black, Indigenous or A Person of color are welcomed to cowork with us by donation on Fridays. All are welcome to drop in and cowork with us on Black Friday or any other day for $25. What is coworking? Joining together with other freelancers, business owners, remote workers and artists to work on your project and share space and resources with other people also working on their projects. At openHAUS when you come cowork you find a spot that inspires you, log in to the wifi, grab a cup of coffee, get some work done and make a new connection. You may receive support in a surprising way or find a solution that maybe a second perpective was necessary for. It's about sharing office resources and building community so we can all thrive. Skip the coffee shop, get out of your house and come to our HAUS.

book club - fiction and non-fiction from diverse voices and perspectives

This month - Caucasia by Danzy Senna. Our book club will meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month and we encourage you to bring your lunch and your curiosity. Try to read the book but if you can't get to it, still join us for discussion.
