Nootropics & Lucid Dreaming!
Looking for ways to improve your productivity? Explore something new within you? There's a new dimension that awaits you!
This month we are proud to bring you two speakers who will touch on the technique and benefits of nootropics and lucid dreaming.
Lucid dreaming involves putting the deepest parts of your brain to use through awareness in a dream-like state.
Nootropics are cognitive enhancing supplements designed to chemically increase the functioning power of the brain.
Our First speaker is Dr. Andrew Hill, a lecturer, scientist, researcher, and the lead neuroscientist behind the nootropic supplement based company, truBrain. Dr. Hill received his PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from UCLA in 2012 and has since lectured for the Undergraduate Education Initiatives program at UCLA on many courses such as EEG brain mapping and neurofeedback. He has also published chapters on measuring and modulating human attention, and continues to research self regulation. Dr. Hill along with truBrain set out to help optimize one’s productivity and efficiency without having to rely on excess caffeine or prescription medication.
Our next speaker is Jay Mutzafi, a web developer and entrepreneur who is the host of the lucid dreaming podcast on lucidsage.com, a podcast about the practice, science and philosophy of lucid dreaming. Jay has always had a passion for technology since childhood and takes great interest in neuroscience and particularly, the effects lucid dreaming has on the subconscious mind. He is also building a device that uses Neuromodulation, affecting brain states using low current electrical stimulation, to induce lucidity in dreams. Years later after discovering some of the science behind lucid dreaming he found out there seemed to be an aspect to the practice that gives one insight and access to the psyche and subconscious, and when taken to further reaches of its potential, may even act as a window into the nature of consciousness itself.
