This is a beautiful spot in Ridgefield, WA. It has a Native American plank-house, plus a trail to a lake full of wapato. Native Americans once dug the wapato bulbs here for food. It's a nice walk along a wooded trail--about a mile each way. The website warns of poison oak in places. We can meet at Gateway Transit Center to carpool. There is a parking fee of $3 per car.
We'll do the auto tour first, it's short and you can see wildlife that you don't see on the trail, because many animals don't run from cars as they do from people!
