Re: [Content-Strategy-Minneapolis] Thanks for attending the first Minneapolis Content Strategy Meet Up

Thanks for the recap, Meghan. I was so disappointed that I wasn't able to attend. I had a sick kid who was also behind on his homework.

I think the topic for the next meeting is fantastic. In fact, I will be posting an article on my blog today or tomorrow about a perhaps surprising way to make a case for content strategy. Stay tuned.

Best regards,

We had a great first meeting last night, despite the loud name tag clad group sharing the back room. The next meeting will be at Brain Traffic, so we can hear each other talk. There will be alcohol. Beer and wine. Probably some snacks.

Speaking of the next meeting, I'm going to post a poll about what days of the week work best for people. From there, we'll try to schedule something somewhat regular like the third Wednesday of the month (just checking to see if Mollie is paying attention).

I think a perfect topic for the next meeting would be discussing how people are currently making the business case for content strategy. If anyone feels strongly that this is a really stupid idea, let me know.

Also on the agenda:

  • Prioritize the list of topic suggestions
  • Talk some more about meeting format
  • Figure out how to make sure we're watered and fed at all meetings
  • Brainstorm how we can use the message board to keep the discussion going between meetings

Thanks again everyone.

This is exciting.
