We are looking for a Director, Content Strategy to join our Global Product User Experience Design group.

As the Director of Content Strategy, reporting to the VP of Global User Experience and Design, you will be a member of the User Experience leadership team and responsible for leading and managing the strategy and efforts for creating smart, relevant and socially connected experiences that artfully unify customer needs with business goals. You will:

Own and establish the strategies, frameworks, standards, partnerships and processes for the creation, curating, publishing and governance of original, licensed, and user-generated content and data across multiple customer touchpoints
Create and drive UX product and project teams focused on integrating original, licensed and user-generated data to create self-improving and increasingly more relevant and personal customer experiences and systems
Assure content solutions across the Global Product organization meet standards of quality, measured in terms of usability, intuitiveness, persuasion, consistency, delightfulness, business metrics, and time to market
Work collaboratively with senior UX team members to identify opportunities for innovation, growth and efficiency
Partner with other UX leadership members to foster an environment of user-centered thinking; be a vocal evangelist for the importance & value of effective content and communication design within the overall user-experience of visual and interaction design
Hire, develop, and retain the most talented people while inspiring them to high performance and a solid understanding and perspective on how content efforts relate to brand affinity and business goals.
Keep the Global User Experience and Design team informed of industry trends, best practices, comparative & competitive reviews and evolving technologies and methodologies

To be a successful Director of Content Strategy, it is a given that you are good with words, able to create, curate, edit and align information, but you must also be a process-oriented systems thinker with a solid grounding in the science of content organization as well as the art of persuasion and marketing. You need to be able lean on best practices and standards, but have a love for experimentation and an ability to move quickly. You must have:

Expert knowledge of content management systems and processes
Expert knowledge of communication strategies and the development and maintenance of both structured and unstructured content types
Expert ability to interpret business objectives and user needs into content success metrics
Expert experience in writing and revising content, sourcing and aggregating content, and negotiating partnerships and relationships with sourced
Expert experience with social, user-generated, and gamification solutions
Advanced knowledge of Search Engine Marketing and Optimization strategies
Expert concepting skills and original thinking with an eye for innovation
Demonstrated team facilitation and problem-solving skills
Excellent relationship building and coordination skills
A professional and personal portfolio of useful and delightful content solutions in highly dynamic environments, including use of both structured and unstructured content solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (but of course)

While we recognize that there is not one path to becoming a great Principal Visual Designer, we look for:

More than 7 years professional experience with content strategy
Proven experience developoing solutions specially consumer-facing and transactionally-focused interfaces
Degree in a relevant field (Communications, Journalism, Computer Science, HCI)

And although not required, it is an advantage if you can demonstrate:

Experience working within agile design and development teams
