What sort of writing do you do?

Author of "Tough Luck Lane" cozy mystery, miscellaneous forms and genres just to stretch.

What are you looking to get out of joining this group?

Spark creativity.

As a writer or editor, what is your biggest challenge?

Getting the inspiration. Trusting my Muse. It ALWAYS comes when I least look for it and it always comes but... I'd like to be a bit more controlled about it. Which translates into more frequent tubing down my "Lazy River" of creativity and letting the flow ~ go.

Are you already a published author or journalist?

Yes. Former newscaster, radio journalist (back in the day when we actually wrote our own news and didn't just read off the feed). Wrote for The Parklander for years and, of course, a LOT of business correspondence, marketing materials and whatnot through the course of my career.

If you have not yet published your first book, how long has it been rolling around in your head or sitting in your computer or shelf?

I have three works-in-progress: "Tough Luck Lane", a novel; is this () close to being agented - working to develop "the property" with a top NYC agent. OK, actually, it's developed - I'm sitting on tenterhooks awaiting their decision (and sending more queries). "The Third Persuasion" - about 1/3 done; and, "Indigo Hour", plotted out. All are told from the POV of Stacey Jennifer Longacre, the heroine. She's likable, but with a touch of sand. Also a bartender/drunk wrangler extraordinare.

Hi! I'm Lois Crockett and I write cozy mysteries. Short stories. Sci-Fi portal stories and spookers. Grocery lists. Whatever. I also work right across the street in the Citibank building. LOVE the concept of a "Symphony of Creativity" See you!
