What is meditation? One simple explanation is that meditation is a way to transform the mind. Meditation leads to a state of thoughtless awareness. It allows us to bring our focus into the present moment where we are free from the unchangeable past and the mysterious and undetermined future. It is in the present moment that we have the power to create our lives. I have been meditating since 1970 and my personal journey with meditation has taken many forms and has opened me to many inner worlds. I have always been a very curious person, so I have studied with many different teachers and seekers in this life and I know my path will cross many more before I’m done. I envision sharing many different types of meditation in this group and learning what you all know as well. This will a place to learn about meditation as well share our own unique knowledge and experience. I look forward to this new journey with each of you!
