Miami Hurricon 2013 - April 14, 2013

"The Miami Hurricon is an entirely student-run and organized free anime, comic, and general geekery convention aimed at spreading awareness of anime and its associated hobbies and Asian culture. We will have an excellent line-up of entertaining and enlightening panels! The convention will take place on April 14th, 2013 from 11AM - 8 PM on the UMiami main campus "

Miami Hurricon is coming back for it's second year at the University of Miami!

Admission is free for this convention!

Convention Rules:
1. Hurricon takes place on the campus of a prestigious educational institution. Please be respectful and act maturely; any misbehavior will result in immediate removal from the convention and the UMiami campus.
2. There are absolutely NO WEAPONS, REAL OR FAKE, allowed. This includes yaoi/yuri paddles, buckets, and any other fandom devices that could possibly hurt someone.
3. No alcohol or any illegal substances
4. The convention is free; however, you must register at the con and get a wristband.
5. These rules are subject to addition and/or alteration by the UMiami Anime Club at any time and without notice
6. Any infraction of these rules will be immediately reported to the University of Miami Police Department and will result in, at the very least, removal from the campus
7. Cosplay IS allowed, just make sure that your face isn't completely obscured by a mask.

    Guys, Hurricon takes place at a school. They normally don't allow "weapons". Plus due to recent events, I'm sure if someone saw a fake gun/sword, they would more than likely freak out and call the police because they think that there is going to be a shootout... It's sucks, but what can we do?
