Come brainstorm some wild ideas in synthetic biology for our team for the 2015 iGEM synthetic biology competition. Last year, we won a Gold Medal and the prize for Best Community Labs Project with our Real Vegan Cheese (https://realvegancheese.org/) project.

iGEM (http://igem.org/)is the International Genetically Engineered Machine competition, which is in its 11th year. iGEM runs the premiere student competition in Synthetic Biology. Teams are given a kit of biological parts and work to build biological systems and operate them in living cells.

This project is a collaboration between Counter Culture Labs (Oakland), BioCurious (Sunnyvale), and Berkeley Bio Labs (Berkeley). Open to all ages, high school and up.
