Please note: You must purchase tickets to attend! See the bottom of the event description for details.
This is a public event, known as "BrewMadness". The BrewMadness event will feature beers from Hoppin’ Frog, Thirsty Dog, Aqueduct and Royal Docks.
You may recognize the address as Thirsty Dog Brewing Co. Or Aqueduct Brewing. But the location is know as the Burkhardt Brewery Building. This is an appropriate location for this type of event.
The event is being put on by the Barley Grail Brewing Cooperative. It will be a day of festivities, and of course, beer and things related to beer. Taste homebrew, rate it, bid on auction items, etc. I (or our host, Michael Rossi from this organization), will be adding details and the Facebook page as we get closer. Here's what Michael has to say so far.
"...your members (Akron Area Beer Lovers), will be enjoying an array of different activities and conversations at our event. We will be holding it during the Final Four on April 2nd at 6pm till 1:30am.
There will be a home brewers brewing challenge where your members can get a chance of being a guest judge in the Brew Madness Competition (home brews looking to enter your brew, contact Michael Rossi), we will have auction items, local celebrities appearing (Not Lebron , don't want to get anyones hopes up lol), great food and live music.
You can purchase ticket directly from our website and don't wait to get them as the event does have a capacity limit! "
Admission to this event goes to charity, and gives you raffle tickets.
WHAT DO YOU GET FOR ADMISSION, AND WHO DOES IT BENEFIT?
Raffle items include a home brew kit, a basket donated by Ivory & Birch, hair care products & a free cut from Wolf Pack co-op, a free membership to barley Grail, autographed footballs by Bo Pelini and both stoops brothers, 4 tickets to the Akron art museum, Gift cards for local restaurants, and more! Also the raffle tickets can be used for a 50/50 drawing, the guest judging competition, and a 3pt shot challenge.
