Hello from LaunchPad!

The temperature has dropped, holiday music is everywhere, and we’re excited to eat more turkey. People are talking about plans for the new year, and reflecting on the past - and so are we...

2011 was another vibrant year at LaunchPad.  We had free events almost every single day, with multiple events on many of those days (you can always review past events on our website calendar).  We supported more than 100 organizations and individuals with projects of all sizes.  We helped introduce hundreds of our neighbors to each other, often resulting in amazing new projects (and quite a few romances :-).  We built things.  We inspired.  We even launched a new yoga cooperative, which will become a self sufficient business in the near future.  And that's just the start of our plan!  We want to do a lot more of the same in the future, including our goal of launching at least one new cooperatively owned & managed business every year.

We love what we do at LaunchPad, but it sure isn't cheap.  Nor is it easy.  Since opening our doors in March 2010, we have received less than $4,000 in financial support.  No typo there, no missing zeros - less than $4,000.  That amount covers about 1 month of LaunchPad's operating costs, which don't even include pay for the people who run LaunchPad.  We know it sounds crazy, but it's true.  We don't want to complain about how hard it is to pay our expenses, and we don’t want to rant about how much we would LOVE to hire some paid staff (oh, we dream!) - we just want to let you know that we need your help.  We simply can't continue doing what we do without financial support.  If you want to see LaunchPad stay around and grow, please help us pay it forward.

Your contribution will help keep our doors open and our calendar jampacked with creative, fun, thought-provoking art and community focused events.  LaunchPad is a non-profit organization, all donations are tax-deductible (you will automatically receive a letter of confirmation for tax purposes).

To make a donation, you can mail a check to:
