Philadelphia Marathon, Half Marathon, 8K

This is a self hosted event to help other runners on this site to find each other and run or train together.  You are responsible for registering and paying the fees on your own.  I suggest posting your current pace and maybe your target pace if you have one to help find a running partner.  Please feel free to post training events, there maybe other runners out there interested in running but not necessarily to do the race itself.

If you would like to be an event host and have control over this event page let Salve know.

The 8K is on Sat. Nov 17th.

The Marathon and half Marathon are on the 18th.  More info and registration here.

Philadelphia has been redefining what a great Marathon can be since 1994. Each year since then, on the third Sunday of November, the city hosts one of the country’s premiere Marathons along with a weekend-long series of events to celebrate both the run and the runners.

Race weekend activities include a Health & Fitness Expo, Rothman Institute 8K, and Kids Fun Run—all leading up to the Marathon and Half Marathon races on Sunday.

Our beautiful and scenic course winds past historic landmarks like Independence Hall, Benjamin Franklin's Burial Place, the National Constitution Center and the Liberty Bell, through urban neighborhoods such as Old City, University City, South Philadelphia and Manayunk, and along the gorgeous waterfronts of the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers.

And you'd better get ready for the crowds. Each year, spectators line the course, eager to cheer on runners, because there's nothing we love more in this town than champions.
