We started out as just a few over-40 single friends camping together and having a FANTASTIC time, exploring the outdoors! We started with tents and tried several different kinds of campers, and are most recently into vintage trailers! We play cards, share meals, kayak, hike, site-see and anything else we can think of, and we like to stay within 100 mi. of Jacksonville. We welcome new friends, whether they're male, female, pets, spouses, partners, companions, buddies, parents or other (we prefer that small children are only OCCASIONAL guests) and absolutely NO WHINERS! :)
Because this group shares many interests, we sometimes organize events that have nothing to do with camping! Come join our adventure!
Not much you can add about how this place is awesome, it's one of the best in all of the South. The beach is beautiful, St. Augustine has so many great restaurants and attractions, and the Saturday Farmers/Flea Market at the Amphitheater is amazing.
Tried booking for Labor Day weekend but only tents and a few small camper sites available. For this scheduled Meetup, there are a lot of sites available. Because of the way this park is so spread out, I suggest you try to book in the front loop, sites[masked]. We'll hopefully be able to use the large pavilion again.
More info to come as we get closer to the event.
Join us at the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground for a real treat (and maybe some tricks as well). Plans are underway and we'll post a schedule of the fun things in store as we get a little closer to the event.

The park is home to Convict Spring. Convict Spring is a natural fresh water spring that feeds the Suwannee River. The spring is a “cool” place to swim. It is also home to small fish and some turtles. There is a mapped underwater cave system with an entrance from the spring. See the website for more info on the park: https://www.suwanneeriverrendezvous.com/
It's important to book soon because the parks are filling up. More info to come, this is just giving everyone the chance to reserve a site. Try for the Canebreak or Gopher loops first. Here's the link to this park's info
This is a favorite of the group and going this late in the year may be good for manatee sightings. Also, this is close to some amazing shopping in the Orlando area so those last minute Christmas gifts may be just down the street. The Meetup is Friday to Sunday but some of us like to make these 4 day trips. More to come, needed to post this so we can get sites, they fill up fast.
