Join us for a baby art workshop for babies to get messy with non-toxic vegetable and fruit-based paints, sponges and stamps. Mommies and daddies will have fun and help babies create their masterpieces. In this workshop, babies can make cute hand print and foot print canvas art and explore colour and paint. The workshop is an amazing sensory experience! Babies can create on two mini 8×10 canvases or a 9×12 canvas. This is a messy workshop! We do have a large laundry tub to help clean up the babies after the session. We recommend bringing a change of clothes for the baby as well as towel. We also have smocks for the adults if requested. Please note, unfortunately we have limited space in the studio for strollers. If you are able to use a baby carrier or a smaller, compact stroller, this would be very helpful in terms of space limitations. Register today! Spaces are limited
Inspired by Stories – An Interactive Art Workshop You are a storyteller. Your voice has power both in words and in images. You have something to say. Your story holds joy, tears and truth. Come and share your story or the story of a friend, family member and bring it to life on canvas with vibrant visual art. Join us for the Inspired by Stories Interactive Workshop – an evening of story sharing and creative visual art. Artwork will be created on 16×20 canvases using acrylic paints and various mixed media. Participants can feel free to bring objects that they would like to incorporate into their visual stories and also incorporate text into their visual stories. In this fun and interactive workshop you will have a chance to share your story or the story of someone else that you find meaningful. We will discuss character, mood, emotion and atmosphere and illustrate your thoughts visually on canvas by making connections with color and form. The process will be focused on developing oral stories and then discussing which elements of the story we can bring to life visually.
Join us for a fluid acrylic paint pouring workshop with accents of gold or silver leaf to create vibrant artistic accents. In this workshop you will learn the basics of paint pouring and experiment with incorporating gold or silver flakes into your abstract art pieces to create dimension. No experience necessary! You will be guided step by step through the process. Materials and smocks will be provided. Artwork will be created on 11×14 wooden panels or canvas. Please note, paint pouring artwork takes 24-36 hours to dry. You can either take your pieces home wet on a tray or come back and pick them up at a later time. Note: Artwork can be varnished for an additional material fee.
