What we're about

Let's gather together in Sisterhood!

This group is for women who crave an authentic community where they can share their truth and receive support in a safe and nonjudgemental environment.

MONTHLY GATHERINGS

Each month we explore ONE THEME designed to help you:

• remember your essence

• connect to your intuition

• rediscover the woman behind the wife/mother/entrepreneur/employee/caregiver/student

Each month there are TWO OPPORTUNITIES to dive into the theme:

• Qoya Movement (https://danawhiddon.com/qoya) on the Second Sunday

• Women's Circle (https://danawhiddon.com/monthlycircle) on the Fourth Friday

Each event takes you on a journey of self-discovery with the support and connection of community.

The invitation is to show up as you are. Rather than focusing on the right thing to say, participants are encouraged to practice saying the true thing.

My intention is to create a safe container for women to connect deeply with themselves and others- to share, bear witness, and receive support (not advice!)

All are welcome. If you’re curious, if this offering tugs at your heart, please come…. Even if it feels a little weird, or you don’t know anyone, or you don’t know what to expect, or you have a rocky history with women. I can almost guarantee there will be a part of the gathering that resonates and changes you for the better.

Monthly Women's Circle

Create Community

Our monthly circles offer a journey of self-discovery with the support and connection of community. The theme for this month's circle is EXPRESS, DON'T REPRESS ***** DURING OUR TIME TOGETHER YOU WILL EXPERIENCE THE FOLLOWING HEALING PRACTICES: CREATIVE EXPRESSION: You will be invited to create an object or image that represents a part of yourself that you don't often express. The process will be easily accessible to all. No experience necessary. Art materials provided. SIP CACAO: Pure chocolate, when sipped with intention helps to lower some of the walls we tend to build around our hearts. It supports an opening to receive- whether that be self-love, love in relationships, or insights from your intuition. It is completely gentle, you choose if and how much you're willing to open. INTENTIONAL MOVEMENT: To experience a sense of being rooted we must get out of our heads and into our bodies. This movement is appropriate for all abilities. There's no way you can do it wrong. The focus isn't on how it looks- but on how it feels! PLEASE BRING: A yoga mat (if you have one) and a water bottle. Please wear clothes that are comfortable to move in. Please note: This is an intimate gathering. Space is limited to 15 women (cis + trans). Cross posted. ***** THE INVITATION is to show up as you are. Qoya (intentional movement practice)

Create Community

THE THEME FOR THIS CLASS IS: Express, Don't Repress Qoya is movement with meaning. It is based on the simple idea that through movement we remember. We remember the essence of who we are. We also come to trust and befriend our bodies, explore our full range of emotions, connect deeply with ourselves and other women, practice listening to our inner knowing, and feel more like our true selves. We also have a lot of fun! Qoya's origin began from a woman raising her hand and asking, "How do I get out of my head and into my body? Into my heart?" Qoya was created to explore "How do we move in a way that we feel the most like ourselves?" Qoya as a practice combines yoga, dance, feminine movement, community connection, great music and pure childlike JOY! If you are new to Qoya, one of the most important things to know is there are no levels and you cannot do it wrong - the way you know you're doing it right is if it feels good. But even more than good, if it feels true in your body. Learn more about Qoya at http://www.qoya.love Please bring a yoga mat (if you have one, if not I have extras) and a water bottle. Register at: http://www.danawhiddon.com/qoya $25 class/ Your first class is free No sister will be turned away Open to women (cis & trans) 18+
