  • [ONLINE] Conversation Café - Walkerton Edition @ 11 AM

    Online event

In this new reality of mandatory masks and social distancing we can still remain connected as an inclusive and meaningful community by taking conversation to the on-line world. In Walkerton, Ontario this used to take place in-person every Wednesday. Through ZOOM video conference we can keep that going while at the same time opening it up to folks here and everywhere. And so, from the comfort of your own space, you are warmly invited into dialogue with others and to discussing different topics each week while exploring some deeper questions along the way. In this safe, inclusive, casual, and accepting environment, dialogue is encouraged over debate as each person has opportunity to share from their own diverse perspectives and experiences. Folks in this group enjoy going beyond small talk, reflecting both inward and outward, helping build pathways for more peace and understanding in the world... and your voice matters! No particular set of beliefs (or creed) is required to be a part of this community building activity. Diverse perspectives are welcome. Whether to discover yourself amidst a community on a common journey, or to find meaning among new friends, there is room at the table for you. • An Evening of Nurturing Spirit with Life Coach Karena Brawley @ 6 PM

Creating Connection Vancouver Presents: An Evening of Nurturing Spirit Is physical distancing and home isolating getting you down? Could you use a pick me up in the middle of the week? Then you are invited for an hour or so of meaningful community as we bring industry experts to help us learn how to care for ourselves from home. Join in conversation with others who are going through the same emotions as you, and who crave the same uplifting support you do. TOPIC: Mindset Mastery with Karena Brawley The David Bayer Mindset methodologies cause lasting change by utilizing the concepts from neuroplasticity to change our thinking that cause us to get stuck. We have been downloading other people’s beliefs from the day we were born, and our thoughts may not our thoughts. Your beliefs attract thoughts and feelings, which dictate your actions, thus creating what happens in your life – your results. This natural cycle can cause us to get stuck when we have limiting beliefs. Your limiting beliefs will sabotage you, your future, and those around you until you do something to stop it. Limiting beliefs put us in a primal (or suffering) state – a state that does not feel good such as anxiety, overwhelm, frustration, overwhelm, and so on. But we are meant to live in a powerful (or beautiful) state – one of possibility, joy, gratitude, and so on. The good news is that you can literally change your mind. You can actively reprogram your beliefs to be your own, new, empowering beliefs that serve the future you desire. The theory of neuroplasticity has proven this to be true. We can bring in thoughts and ideas that are in perfect alignment with the life we dream to live. This powerful approach, especially when disciplined repetition is practiced, can change our thinking, thus results on ANYTHING in life. The moment of transformation is the moment you see that your own thinking is not true – unintelligent. In that moment you see new possibilities, and a new truth emerges. If we commit to changing our thinking, anything is possible. Anytime, anywhere, anything! BIO: Karena Brawley, B.SC Using neuroscience-backed methodologies from some of the world’s top coaching programs, Karena coaches clients who are in challenge or change, to move from distress to success and from tired to inspired, so they can live a healthy and vibrant life with ease. Karena has passionately studied personal development since the mid-80s and now has hundreds of hours of training as certified coach. Karena believes that even the hardest of life transitions, struggles and disasters can be transformed into opportunity and growth. Karena understands what it takes to overcome obstacles and succeed. She worked for both junior and major oil and gas companies, as a geophysicist, a principal and executive of start-up companies, and then as a consultant for the past 15 years. Karena’s 35-year career in oil and gas has been largely about making maps of the earth. As a certified Coach, she holds the map, and the flashlight, to help and empower her clients draw their own path toward new possibilities and to unearth greater levels of freedom and success. SESSION FORMAT - Welcome and Introductions - Opening Meditation - Guest Speaker followed by Q&A - Closing Meditation Please join this session for an inspiring and informational conversation and bring your questions too.
