What we're about

Our group is for those who crave deeper connections in life. Not only within themselves, but with others, creation, the universe and "The Divine" itself. Whether you feel it through your mind, your body or your inner being, deep connection eludes many of us as we navigate the constant noise in our everyday lives.

In this meetup we offer a variety of activities that can transform the way you engage and interact with the very connections you seek, taking you beyond scratching the surface and into real, authentic relationships.

Utilizing effective models and practices such as Conversation Cafés, TED Talk Discussions, Retreats, & Workshops, Free Hugs/Listening days, Reading Groups, Drumming Circles, Food & Nutrition Awareness, Physical Mindfulness, Pay-it-Forward Actions, Zentangle and Colouring Therapy, Krafting Kindness projects, Care & Compassion Programs, Labyrinths and Meditation, and many others, a more compelling picture can begin to emerge, and help create a greater awareness of the interconnectedness of everything.

Our hope is to create opportunities for you to experience this awakening and transformation that in the end will allow you to find more connection and wholeness in your life.

Come build community with us as we help bring people into relationship with each other. We look forward to our journey together.

An Evening of Nurturing Spirit @ 6:00 PM EDT - Meet Your Spirit Animals

Journeying to Meet Your Spirit Animal

Do you have a favourite animal? Do you still have that stuffed animal from childhood – maybe a Teddy Bear or Rabbit? Most humans acknowledge that they have a relationship with animals. Many of us recognize that we have spirit animals that walk with us on our journey bringing us healing, insight or spiritual guidance. Some common ones are hawk, eagle, crow, cardinal, raven, wolf, rabbit, snake, and horse.

Journeying to meet a spirit animal can be used by anyone for healing, insight, or spiritual guidance – I will lead you on a meditative journey to the lower world to meet and explore with your spirit animals. After the meditation we can discuss some of your experiences with the animals and their possible meanings.

I will offer a complimentary 30-minute discovery call to all attendees.

May 18 - Written By The Land
Special guest - Isabella Mori

How does land communicate? The stream that tumbles down to the lake brings minerals and leaves and little water creatures and oxygen and so many other things, and each of them carries information. Isabella is intrigued by biomimicry, which takes inspiration from living systems for questions in areas such as science, engineering, and economics. Let's explore together how writers are written by the land and become an integral part of this lineage of communication.

Isabella Mori’s poetry and short fiction have appeared in publications such as Presence, Kingfisher and The Group Of Seven Reimagined. Isabella’s books include A bagful of haiku – 87 imperfections. In April, they were a writer-in-residence at Hay Lake Lodge in Ontario’s Algonquin Park. Born in Germany, Isabella has lived in the UK, Paraguay, and Chile, and now resides in Vancouver, BC, on unceded Coast Salish territory, and works in psychiatry.

April 20 - Grieving Re-imagined

“Grief, when it comes, is nothing like we expect it to be.” --Joan Didion

Can joy be a gift of the grieving process? Bring scribbler, pen, and pencil—and let your inner artists have their say. Join writer and cartoonist Tamara Jong in exploring how loss makes way for a whole new story.

"There are things," she writes, "that my parents couldn't give me in life but did in death."

Learning how to make room for unexpected change invites us to be present and allow ourselves simply to remember.

Tamara Jong (she/her), of mixed Chinese and Scottish ancestry, writes about grief, loss, family, belonging, faith, and her life as a Jehovah's Witness. Her work appears in Anomaly, Room Magazine, Body & Soul: Stories for Skeptics and Seekers, and The Fiddlehead. She lives and works on Treaty 3 territory, the occupied and ancestral
lands of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinabewaki, Attiwonderonk,
