This nation has been debating the correct equilibrium of states’ rights and federal control since the days of Jefferson and Hamilton, continually tinkering with the most effective distribution of power. In today’s political reality of sanctuary cities, entitlement programs, mass shootings and a potential Supreme Court challenge to Roe V. Wade, the question of whether more control should lie with individual states or within the halls of Congress is alive and well. Where do you think the right balance of power lies?
