• Introduction to Crowdfunding for Newbies

    Sheridan Library

Now that Colorado Crowdfunding has been divided into five distinct sections to better meet the needs of our diverse membership, some of you newer members may be wondering, "okay, but which meetup section should I attend?" On the second Monday of each month, at the Sheridan Library (see map), we hold our monthly "Introduction to Crowdfunding for Newbies" meetup during which newcomers can learn, at 50,000 foot level, the basics of crowdfunding so that you'll be able to choose the appropriate meetup section(s) that will best satisfy both your immediate and longer-term needs. While the meeting is scheduled for 5:30, the formal presentation won't begin until 6:00 or 6:15 depending on how heavy rush-hour traffic is that evening and the difficulty that members face in finding the place. But come early if you can and network with your prospective fellow crowdfunders. This is an ongoing feature of Colorado Crowdfunding, with meetups held either once a month or every other month, depending on the level of interest and the turnout. If you're new to crowdfunding, and you'd really like to get your feet wet before plunging in deeply, come to this special introductory session and learn some of the basics of this new way to secure funding as well as some other benefits. Looking forward to seeing our new members there. Ray Burrasca

  • Product Pre-Sales-Based Crowdfunding

    Brooklyn's at Sport's Authority Field

At first glance, crowdfunding is just a fantastic new way to raise money and bypass traditional sources of financing. Even more fantastic is the rewards- and cause-based models, which have fewer liabilities (no debt contraction and no equity distribution). But aside from the financial aspect, crowdfunding has also shown itself to be a really efficient marketing tool. Indeed, it’s an incredible new way to create, engage communities, evaluate a market, and build an audience. At Colorado Crowdfunding, since our beginning over two years ago, we’ve been focused on how crowdfunding can assist inventors and entrepreneurs get their inventions and products into the marketplace by boosting their product launches, from solo inventors to early start-ups to established SMEs. If you have an idea for a cool (or, maybe, not so cool but nevertheless, useful and interesting) product to sell, why not do yourself a favor and come to Colorado Crowdfunding's Product Pre-Sales Crowdfunding meetups and learn as much as you can about how to bring your idea / concept / product to market and beyond by using crowdfunding as a vehicle to help you get there. At every meetup you'll have access to the wealth of knowledge and information that our moderator, Rita Crompton ("The Inventor Lady"), can provide to you about how to get your idea /concept/product to market in the most efficient and streamlined way possible. For all you would-be product marketers out there, this is the meetup to attend. We look forward to seeing you there at our very next meeting. Sincerely, Rita

  • Colorado Springs Monthly Crowdfunding Meetup

    Village Inn Restaurant, Colorado Springs

Join us if you are interested in Crowdfunding a product or for raising money for a business or commercial or other business opportunity. We are the #1 Crowdfunding Group in Colorado and the # 3 group in the nation. We have been studying, following and practicing crowdfunding for more than 6 years. Why settle for the new groups just getting started when you can learn from experience saving yourself time, money and frustration. What Crowdfunding is All About: Crowdfunding is all about democratizing the manner in which capital is raised for business startups and for charitable, artistic, commercial and other business ventures. Thus, it's fitting for us at Colorado Crowdfunding (which is both Colorado's oldest crowdfunding meetup group and the third largest crowdfunding meetup group in the U.S.), to harken back to our national symbol of freedom and democracy, The Statue of Liberty (which itself was erected due to the efforts and donations of early crowdfunders) for inspiration. Something very, very profound is happening worldwide and the wiser vested interests of the past are beginning to realize that they need to get aboard the train before it leaves the station. Join us to see what you can do with Crowdfunding! The Crowdfunding meeting begins at 5:30 and goes to 7:30. We cover all the issues related to creating a successful crowdfunding campaign.
