What kind of Board Games do you love to play? Be specific if you can - list a few games, or type of game mechanics.

I like games with small amounts of fiddliness (where possible) and nice, flowing baked-in mechanisms to experiment with. I love it when games create their depth from intuitive decisions and strategic judgement, rather than from a lot of maths and hassle. Area control is usually a favourite, reflecting my wargaming roots. Favourites include Bruxelles 1893, Baseball Highlights 2045, Talon, Spyfall, The U.S. Civil War, A Study In Emerald (1st Edition - haven't tried the new version), Terra Mystica, Imperial 2030, Kanban, Hansa Teutonica, Snow Tails, Lords of Vegas, Puerto Rico, The Resistance: Avalon, Thunder Alley, Mage Knight etc.

Are there any games you haven't played before and are looking to try out? (Remember we don't play classic games like monopoly, poker, chess etc)

Some of the GMT games (Churchill, Fire In The Lake etc) look beautiful. I'd like to try them to find out whether they are great of just overcomplicated.
