Ready to Spring in to action crafters!! Here is the details of this class:

1) Bring a light color fabric bag, t-shirt, dish cloth etc.

2) Hand pull a multi-layered screen print from a selection of stencils or (bring your own - here are a couple of good stencil tutorials: http://www.instructables.com/id/Easier-Screen-Printing/ or http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Multi-Layered-Stencil-Art ).

3) Go home with your own cool one-off printed art piece, and a new gained confidence in the craft of screen printing.

Class will include demo of: Pulling of the print technique

List of supply for a basic screen printing set up.

N.B: There will be a materials cost of $3-6 which will be payable on the day.

About the instructor:
Caitlin Jayes is a designer, screen printer, collage artist, and musician working in Los Angeles. She runs the screen printing and design studio Heavy Gel (http://www.heavygel.com) where they also occasionally host gallery and music events. Melding graphical and gritty compositions of experimental writing, drawing, collage, hand built electronics, reverb soaked guitar, and vocals, Cait's solo art and music project is called Excess Eyes and Ears (XSE&E) (http://www.xs-eyes-and-ears.com)

A recent screen print of Caitlin Jayes: 7 color screen print w/ spray paint, which technically, is 8 colors. (Please note: for this workshop, we will probably only be able to do one-to-three colors)
