Have you read the "About Us" section of this group?

I have been looking for a group of people to be able to knowledgeably speak with about the works of Lovecraft and the evolution of the subsequent Mythos.

Are you genuinely interested in being a vital member of this group?

My main interests are the stories and games associated with the Lovecraft genre, but I am also interested in learning more about the man himself, and those that he has influenced. Since I've started my path down the long road of Lovecraftian interest, I've only met one other person who has read any appreciable amount of his works. I truly hope to change that through this group.

How long have you been under the spell of Lovecraft?

It started with a few board and card games and has evolved into a major interest in the stories... All said and done, I guess I've been a fan of Lovecraft's influence for around four years.

What is your favorite story?

The Colour Out of Space. It embodied so much of the cosmic fear that Lovecraft brought to the surface of weird stories, yet stood apart from his other works (at least in my novice opinion).

How did you find out about the group?

I'm a Senior Aquarist at the Children's Aquarium at Fair Park, a husband to a beautiful woman, and father to an incredible three year old.

What John F. is saying about this Meetup Group

Epic. Nice to finally sit with a group of people who can knowledgeably talk Lovecraftian and Gothic horror. Got a small list of "new" stories to check out... This group is going to force me to ramp up my reading pace, just to keep up (not a bad thing at all).
