    Cary, this came out really well! One of Dore's mood-infused illustrations of Milton's Paradise Lost (among the copious fish/serpent imagery Dore employs in rendering this epic poem). "Remember that the Dore illustrations (God, how Dore fascinated me! [as a child] We had and still have his Dante and Milton pictures) made the edition I read a veritable picture book." Everyone not at the meeting: find the reference to Paradise Lost in "Dagon" and then find the Dore illustration of "Satan's hideous climb through the unfashioned realms of darkness."
