Thought this would interest you, would love to have more drum community at it, feel free to bring your drums & join in playing for the chanting & dancing!  Look forward to making it to the next Culver city drum meeting, do alot of folks dance at it?
For the address & more info go to
"DESIRE CRACKS OPEN the GATES..." Celebrating LIVING who we really are:
Here is an update of plans for our upcoming Beltane Festival & Ritual. It will include 3 main ritual activities ( though others may arise :) ) --intersperced with drumming, chanting, dancing, frolicking & celebrating the heart of Spring Ritual!
Part 1:
We will open the festival with a symbolic ritual which involves art, touch(fully clothed), & giving & receiving support from your community --it is both celebratory, colorful, sensual(not sexual), & healing.
Part 2:
A ritual involving oracle & surrendering to the wisdom of divine spirit & out inner muse.
Part 3:
Ending with our main ritual of the day our finale of ~*MANIFESTATION!*~
There will be an update of more info soon re the final ritual & other things.
Jonathan is going to bring various drums, would anyone else like to bring or play drums or other instruments? Can anyone contribute some of the kind of water-washable, non-toxic felt tip pens(they won't be useable afterwards); we plan to bring some, but extra's would be good to make sure there's enough for everyone to have a variety of colors :) If so, please log on to & post a comment or email to the group list. It will be a potluck, but you are still welcome to attend if you can't bring something.  If you like come dressed with flowers or bring flowers to decorate.
~*May you all feel a rising drum beat in your blood & extra spring in your step, alive with the buzzing of spring & anticipation of BELTANE!*~
Deep, bright, reverberating blessings!
"" theme of ritual is quote from part of the Starhawk's song for spring ritual that we sang in the spiral dance at Reclaiming Ostara :)
