PPA Western District Photographic Competition

  • to

  • Needs a location

  • Attention PPA (Professional Photographers of America) members!

If you want to see how your images stack up against the best in the business, PPA's District and International Photographic Competitions are the way to find out! This is the top of the heap!

The District Competion is the prelude where you can get a final judging before advancing your images to the world-renowned International Competition. For us in California, that means the Western District Photographic Competition.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION! - If you want to compete in this competition (and you should!), please note that the dates above are the judging dates. Your images must be submitted before that from February 14th, 2017 to March 23rd, 2017. So you should already be looking for great images to submit!

Entering your local District Competition is one of the best ways to push yourself to be more. You'll learn where you stand—how your photography matches up with your peers. You'll learn about the 12 elements of a merit image, and start incorporating them into your daily photography. You'll learn what it takes to create a merit image, and if you stick with it, work your way up to the Loan Collection.

You'll learn you're capable of so much more than you imagined. It's perfectly normal to be a little nervous going in, but don't be afraid of getting better.

It's easy to get involved. First, find you district. Then, fine-tune your four best images and submit either prints or digital copies.

This is a no host calendar event. For more information, visit the PPA site (http://www.ppa.com/) and follow the Competition links.
