Go Ape doesn't need much introduction - it is the UK’s number one forest adventure. Days out there are about living life a little more adventurously, having fun and getting in touch with your inner Tarzan (he’s in there, it's a promise!)
The classic and original Go Ape experience is their 2 – 3 hour Tree Top Adventure. They will brief you for safety before you fly down their zip-wires, leap off their Tarzan Swing and tackle their crossings whilst enjoying some of the excellent scenery.
We have booked:
Tree Top Adventure - Gorilla (18+), Trent Park,
Sun,23 Mar 2014 at 13:00
Price: £32 + paypal fees
Ross will be meeting you at the Cockfosters tube exit at 12:30. However if you miss the group and need to catch up with them, these are the walking directions:
It's just a 10 minute walk from Cockfosters tube station. As you leave the underground station by the nearest exit, turn right and walk up Cockfosters Road (A111, heading away from the shops). Trent Country Park is on your right hand side approximately 400 metres along (see entrance image on right).
Follow the park road and you will soon see Go Ape on the right.
Top Tip: check in advance for planned engineering works on the tube – click here for information up to three months in advance.
What should I wear?
Wear something you don’t mind getting grubby. You’ll need closed toe and heel shoes (with flat soles). Bring along a mac if it’s raining! We recommend gloves. You can buy a pair of gloves from the cabin.
What happens in bad weather?
Go Ape is a great wet weather activity. The course remains open in all weathers, except when it’s icy, stormy or during lightning. Rain makes the course muddier – just make sure you dress for it!
Please note that unless the trip is cancelled the payments are non-refundable as the costs need to be paid in advance. However you may be able to sell your place to your friends or other group members if you follow this procedure;http://www.meetup.com/Curious-Kat-Adventure-Club/pages/What_to_do_if_you_can_no_longer_attend_an_event/.
