Waverly Country Store Ride with RABA

RIDE MOVES OUT AT 9:00. PLEASE TRY TO GET TO THE PARKING LOT BY 8:45 A.M. TO ALLOW TIME FOR GETTING READY TO ROLL.

Start in Waverly and head north on quiet country roads into Surry County. A special attraction this month is a stop at the Surry County Historical Society's restored country store/museum at Carsley. Restrooms will be available across the road from the museum courtesy of the Carsley Methodist Church. Come and see what a rural general store was like 100 years ago. After the ride all participants are invited to have lunch together at Giuseppe's in Waverly.

We did this ride last year. Here are some pictures from that ride: http://www.meetup.com/Cycling-is-Fun/photos/13602872/

C+ PACE (13-15 MPH AVERAGE). This ride is 40 miles long on mostly flat terrain.

Looks like we have a great day in store for us tomorrow! If any of you would like to have a GPX file for the ride send me your email address. But it isn't necessary, I'll have paper cue sheets available. BTW, there will be a donation jar at the church and at the country store museum - I'm making a donation to cover their efforts, but if you want to put a dollar or two in that would be fine.
