This is a group for San Francisco D4H designers to meet, discuss, share and workshop in person the work that is being done online through the larger Slack community. We will meet on a flexible monthly basis and invite local subject matter experts to bring our efforts into context.
Design for the Homeless is a global not-for-profit program which enables designers across all disciplines to volunteer their skills and creativity towards designing innovative solutions that will help the homeless population have better days and nights until they have homes of their own.
The program was founded by Paul Bryan, organizer of UX STRAT and XD Immersive. As of May 2019 we are more than 1000 designers from all over the globe.
If you haven't joined yet and want to dedicate 1% of your work hours in 2019 (average of 2 hours per month) to this program, visit https://designforthehomeless.org/ to request an invite to our Slack channel. We’re just getting started!
