Data Management Association - Puget Sound is a non-profit professional organization whose objective is to promote and advance the concepts of information resource management in the Pacific Northwest. DAMA-PS members and guests meet monthly to widen their knowledge on topics relevant to information and data resource management. Members benefit from association meetings and special programs, as well as from opportunities to network with others in the same profession. DAMA-PS is affiliated with the Data Management Association (DAMA) International and with the Institute for Certification of Computer Professionals (ICCP).
DAMA-PS also offers discount memberships to students in data and information-related programs. Our DAMA-PS chapter welcomes members and guests to our monthly chapter meetings, held the second Tuesday of each month at various locations in the Puget Sound area. Meetings include an informal breakfast or dinner followed by a featured speaker presentation, with plenty of time to network with other data professionals.
DAMA-PS continually strives to present a variety of interesting and timely programs addressing traditional and emerging topics in the field of data resource management. Past programs have covered a wide spectrum of subjects, including client-server technologies, data warehousing, business process management, CASE tools and data repositories, data modeling techniques, object-oriented data bases, data stewardship, software quality improvement and many others.
