APM Autopilot Engineer Position Available

UAS Academy is looking for an APM expert. If anyone is interested in more details or applying for the position they can contact UAS Academy Chief Scientist Jim Blanchard at . Details on the organization can be found at http://www.uasacademy... The position description is below.

This is a salaried job for someone with legitimate skills using the APM autopilot. Ideally they will have adapted it to land, sea, air RC vehicles. Salary is based on their lab skills test results (our tests); work history from references; and most importantly their willingness/abilities to lead other techs and engineers. Position is in the Manassas VA area. 50% lab duties and product assembly; 30% operational testing and multi-media reporting; 10% teaching; 10% corp paperwork and presentations. My other guys say this job is “getting paid to shop for cool stuff, break it, and report the results using someone else’s money” so it’s hands on for sure.

The first 6 months will be:

JAN – set up the new APM lab and STEM kits parts area.

FEB – build and test the land, sea, and air vehicles for the UAS Academy Mobile Operations trailers (3).

MAR – Adapt the new surface sea vehicle to APM, test same.

APR – Adapt the USMC CBRNE Land Support Vehicle to the APM.

MAY – Field test the CBRNE LSV at our Georgia center. Attend AUVSI to work booth to show off APM integration projects.

JUN – Design and Build APM golf cart.

Those interested should send Jim a short resume, with details on their APM experience.
