We're heading to Ladew Topiary Gardens in Monkton, Maryland. Hopefully we'll find some late blooming flowers still in bloom and some wonderful colors and textures in the leaves and grasses. The topiaries are fun to photograph any time of the year.
You can read more about Ladew Gardens on their website at http://www.ladewgardens.com/
We will meet at Ladew Gardens at the gift shop at 10 AM when the gardens open. Admission fee is $ 13 for the gardens and nature walk/$18 if you want to tour the house.
If you want to use your tripod, you will need to fill out a permission form, turn it in and receive a tripod tag. Tripod forms are at http://www.ladewgardens.com/Portals/10/PDFs/photography_policy_ladew.pdf
You can pay your admission fee and get your tripod permit at the gift shop.
Plan is to arrive at opening at 10, photograph until 11:45 when we'll meet for lunch at the cafe, and then photograph more after lunch. In addition to the gardens, there is a wonderful nature walk through the woods that may have some wonderful fall photo opportunities.
Ladew Gardens is about a 90 minute drive from Bethesda.
