Shelley Mountjoy on Secular Community

Perhaps you've noticed the many recent changes within our local secular community. Or, maybe you're just getting involved in the secular community and your wondering what is available. The Washington DC Metropolitan Area is incredibly distinct among local secular communities throughout the US. On Saturday, January 2nd,
Shelley Mountjoy will be joining us to discuss why this is and the current status of our constantly evolving landscape. She'll also explain how the local secular student movement is important to all of us. Shelley Mountjoy is involved in the atheist movement on both the national and local level. She is best known, locally, as the current Organizer of Beltway Atheists although she is a leader in several local groups. Nationally, Shelley serves on the Board of Directors of the Secular Student Alliance and on the Advisory Board of Atheist Nexus.
