Meetup for a Networking Lunch -- August is SHOW-N-TELL and includes a speaker!

THIS MEETUP WILL INCLUDE SHOW AND TELL!

Attendees should bring any or all of the following: book(s) personally authored; product(s) or product samples; portfolio; client testimonials; before and after photos; or anything else that demonstrates your business.

Be prepared to answer the questions listed below.

Networking Lunch at Yanny's Pizzeria & Restaurant. There is no charge to attend this event, so the lunch you choose will be at your expense. You'll be able to order from Yanny's menu or choose the delicious $8.99 all-you-can-eat lunchtime buffet.

Arrival time is not later than 11:59 AM.

This event is designed very differently from the other networking events we hold. It is much more structured. Some say it is similar to speed dating! We maximize your exposure to the bulk, if not all attendees. You'll come away with a good knowing of one another that encourages referrals, strategic alliances and partnerships. It is a collaborative effort focusing on how can I help you achieve your goals? It is a lot of fun, but in the beginning feels rigid and awkward.

You won't want to miss out on that important connection you've been seeking, so be on time, that's 11:59. Also, keep in mind our goals, needs and resources change so do not assume you that just because you've already spoken with someone you don't need to talk with them again. Get an update!

Here's the agenda!

12:00-12:10pm

Check in - obtain your name badge and your networking schedule.
Place handouts on display table.
Select your luncheon meal and beverage.

12:10 - 1:50 Round robin table hop - several rounds will be held

Get out your pen. Pass out your business card. Be prepared to take notes.

Follow the guide at each table answering the specific questions relative to your business including:

1. State your name, your company name, your position, title and/or your moniker.
2. Specify your product or service.
3. Define your market niche.
4. Describe a recent problem you solved for a client and the results the client experienced. Quantify it.
5. Who is a good strategic partner or alliance for you?

Be in the mindset to collaborate and cooperate versus compete.

1:00 - 1:30 Lunch

1:50 - 2 pm + Follow up from last month's meeting - success stories/challenges, annoucements, talk more, settle your tab; conduct one-on-one's!

    8 attendees five of whom were new to this venue! Each biz completely different and new to our group for the most part. We are still working on answering the questions effectively, but are getting there. One of the new questions on best method to reach you and how long you take to respond to a message was very revealing! Right, Orlando! He's a text msg guy...not a phone call guy. Show and tell was good for the first time out. Next one I think will be better...more portfolios, testimonials and items to portray the talents and feature of each person. Looking forward to September.

    Only 7 ppl attended including me, we were treated like 5 year olds in a classroom and it was way to lengthy. I had to leave after 2.5 hours due to a business appointment and they were still about half way. Not my cup of tea. Met three interesting people
