- Let's Go to Awesome Con!
It's still not at the time of year we expect it, but it's happening nonetheless. How about we do this event with our usual style? And I'm not going to make it all about me, but nothing would be better than celebrating my birthday weekend with the Nerdizen crew. We'll do our usual formal meetup on Saturday (time TBD) and comment shout-out all three days. More info here: http://awesome-con.com/ Program is up! http://awesome-con.com/programming/
- Book Exchange
For those who don't know - a book exchange is similar to a book club but different. It's a place where book lovers discuss what we're reading atm but also recommend and lend books to other members. Lending is not mandatory but your book raves and rants are! This event has no genre theme so bring whatever books you want! And if you are open to lending a book, please comment below what book(s) you're bringing.
- Pogo Pre-CD Meetup
Running low on Poké storage space? Wanna meet other Pogo players to coordinate plans? Well, join me on the National Mall the day before Community Day! Come out to do some trades, space dump, exchange trainer codes, and possibly do a raid or two. And who knows, you may walk away with a wild shiny... 👀 (a possibility not a guarantee, lol). The Castle is a very short walk down the street from the Smithsonian Metro. Make sure to take the "National Mall" exit. And if you're driving, please refer to Google Maps to find parking beforehand. Parking in DC, on the weekends and at a tourist spot, is a hassle - be aware!
