Greetings Flacks,

Looks like we're in for another great turnout for the DC Flacks monthly happy hour. If you haven't RSVP'd for tomorrow's event, you can do so over here.

In other news, folks are hiring! Here are three open gigs for your perusal:

Public Relations Director (Full time/Company in Arlington, VA): Looking for a creative PR strategist, who will be responsible for developing and executing creative media driven public relations programs that promote the company and its people. This is a strong, stable and growing company with an excellent reputation. The communications group is great to work with, and there is definitely lots of opportunity as the company, and the communications department expands. At least ten years of agency experience preferred. Learn more here.

Writer/editor (Full time/Fight Crime: Invest In Kids): Washington DC based non-profit advocacy organization focused on state and federal investments that benefit at-risk kids is seeking an experienced Writer/Editor for web and print materials. Candidates must have strong writing and editing skills and a minimum of two years experience writing, managing website content and proofreading materials for publication. The Writer/Editor will also assist the communications team as needed with media relations. Learn more and apply here.

Customer Advocacy Communications Rep (Full time/Sallie Mae): The Customer Advocacy Communications Rep. will track and monitor relevant SOCIAL MEDIA traffic and identify opportunities to make contact with the customer, with the goal of enhancing the image of the company through modern communication methods. In the SOCIAL MEDIA process, the Customer Advocacy Communications Rep. will serve as a liaison between servicing management, Office of the Customer Advocate, legal, government relations, product management and corporate communications. Must have three-to-five years of professional experience. Learn more and apply here.

If you have job listings you're seeking to fill and want them shared with the DC Flacks community, give me a shout at [address removed].

See you tomorrow at 6:30!
