What we're about

Calling all jazz musicians! This meet-up is for musicians interested in playing swing music from the 1930s and 40s and trad jazz. We will get together for our monthly Gramercy Jam to jam together, play for dancers, and have fun! All instruments, intermediate-level and up, welcome. Jazz musician but never played trad/swing before? We'd love to have you too!

We only have three rules:

1. Be nice! Share the playing space, share solos, encourage one another.

2. Be Gramercy-- in other words, pick tunes and play in a style authentic to trad jazz and swing music, going from about the 20s through the early/mid 40s. We are, after all, playing for dancers!

3. Have fun! Feel free to make mistakes and experiment. We're all just here for the love of the music.

Feel free to also join our Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2368869503341711/
