Hot buffet breakfast served. Brianne Nadeau was elected to the Council of the District of Columbia on November 2014 to represent Ward One. In her many years of service to the community, she has served as the Orange Hat Patrol and Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner 1B and on the Meridian Hill Neighborhood Association. She has familiarized herself with the MPD officers, small business, and has supported neighborhood cleanup efforts, abatement of abandoned properties, pedestrian safety, and bringing the neighborhood voices to development issues. She created, with business owners and residents, the U Street Movie Series and Sustainable U to increase sustainable living and working in the 14th and U Streets corridor. What we're about

DC Women in Politics, brings together a diverse group of women representing all wards of the city. Members include women who are interested in running for elected office, as well as those who are dedicated to promoting the election of women to public offices.

The coalition's objectives are to:

• Enhance the skills and sharpen the techniques of women who are interested in running for public office.

• Galvanize the collective support of women throughout the District to increase the number of women elected to public office.

• Promote the issues of concern to women, especially those who are voiceless.

- Educate ourselves in the issues of concern to DC residents
