Author headshots by local photographer
If you are looking for the perfect headshot for your upcoming book, profile picture for your About page or a picture to submission. I have dropped the rate back to $150 for the session including one digital image of your choice. Working with you lovely people has been such a pleasure, and i have received books, emails sharing successful submissions and positive feedback. It had been such an honor! If you are ready to get a headshot kindly reserve a spot by scheduling your time for 3rd June between 9am and 2pm here: The session will include: • 10 minutes of makeup touch up for the ladies, 5 mins of powder for the men. (ladies come ready for the shoot, these would be minor touch ups to reduce shine only) Do not use shimmer in your makeup. • 15-20 minute photo session • Select one out of 5 images (additional images would be $50 each) (Originally $150 each) - selection would be available 1 to 2 weeks after the shoot. • Send the photographer a time that suites you best • For $100 ladies can have a complete hair and makeup session before the shoot (photographer would need to know how many want to take advantage of this so the stylist can be scheduled) • You'll need to provide your email address for coordination and consultation purposes. There would be another Meetup scheduled 2 weeks after the sessions where everyone will be called in again to view and select the one complementary image out of five. ATTENTION : She can only accomodate 14 members so space is limited. Reserve a spot by scheduling your time for 3rd June between 9am and 2pm here:

What we're about

The Washington DC Write to Publish Group is unlike most writers’ groups (which focus on critiquing each other’s work). Instead this group is dedicated to the "business side" of writing and works to educate authors (and would be authors) on what to expect when taking a finished manuscript and making it available for sale.

The group is currently run by Robin Sullivan, business manager of Michael J. Sullivan (bestselling author of 11 released books: The Riyria Revelations (6) , The Riyria Chronicles (3), Legends of the First Empire (1), and Hollow World). Michael also has 6 finished novels releasing soon: (Age of Swords (Summer 2017) The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter (Winter 2017), Age of War (Spring 2018), Age of Legends (Fall 2018), Age of Wonder (Spring 2019), Age of Empire (Fall of 2019)

Robin is a publishing veteran and has "done it all" when it comes to releasing books. Some highlights include:

• Obtaining 4 six-figure and one seven-figure contract

• 3 contracts with 2 of the big-five (Hachette Book Group & Penguin Random House)

• Self-publishing 7 of her husband's novels and selling more than 70,000 copies

• Releasing 2 books through small presses

• Running a small press which earned multiple authors six-figure paychecks

• Marketing Michael's books to exceed 1,00,000 English copies sold

• Negotiation one of the few "print only" deals since the rise of ebooks

• Negotiating audio deals with publishers, audio producers, and Audible Studios

• More than 60 foreign language translations

• Managing multiple agents

• Running two of the top-earning fiction Kickstarters (#3 globally & #8 in US generating more than $90,000 & $30,000 respectively)

• Writing articles for Writer's Digest, Digital Book World, and Publishing Perspectives

• Presenting Seminars for Writer's Digest and various Writer's Conferences
