On this outing, we will go to the observation deck of the Empire State Building to see extraordinary views of New York City and its surrounding areas. Views can be seen from two points: the main observation deck on the 86th floor with high-powered binoculars, and the top observation deck on the 102nd floor. We will then experience the sights and environment of Times Square through a casual walk through the area.
Our final destination will be the Museum of the City of New York, an art gallery and history museum detailing the history of New York City. The collection includes paintings, drawings, photographs, and objects related to the city’s history and presence. Visit www.mcny.org for more information. We will conclude our journey with dinner in the Upper East Side neighborhood.
Important Note: The main observation deck (86th floor) of the Empire State Building is $25. Access to the main and top observation decks (86th and 102nd floors) is $42.
The cost of admission to the Museum of the City of New York is $10. The museum is optional for those who want to venture around the city or nearby area on their own.
