National Geographic Explorer Peter Houlihan at Patagonia DC Store
National Geographic Explorer Peter Houlihan will be sharing stories from his life exploring the world's most remote tropical rainforests. A conservation scientist and nature photographer, Houlihan specializes in planning and leading expeditions deep into the rugged interior of jungles across Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. Pete coordinates teams of local experts to document the diversity of life in understudied rainforests for community-based conservation initiatives. Utilizing photography and videography, and speaking a variety of languages, Houlihan fuses science with visual storytelling to raise greater awareness for conservation efforts around the world. This event is free. Lebanese Taverna is supporting this event with mezze platters, we sample Patagonia Provisions salmon, with plenty of beer and Spindrift seltzer to share!
