! 3:00p ARTIST RECEPTION Gallery 422 @ The Workroom | Midge Lynn Artist Closing Reception. Read about the artist below.

Haley-Henman proudly announces the solo exhibition of new paintings and drawings by Midge Lynn. The reception is free and open to the public of all ages.

Midge Lynn is a conceptual artist.  She presents visions of hope during conditions of atmospheric changes.  The sky is a predominant motif for Lynn.  It can be beautiful as a sunset and turbulent as funnel clouds touching down.  How do we face the skies in our lives?  How do we face the future of changing conditions?

Lynn brings the feelings of self-determination, hope and optimism to the faces of the people she paints. She plays with the everyday world of objects, the memes that remind us of the important concepts of life.  In some of the three dimensional works, there is an opening and closing of different conditions, or the transition from the past to the present and future.  Time is portrayed as ephemeral as the changing sky.

Sorry I have to drop out of the reception Sunday but, on the bright side, that opens up 2 spots
