Programming 101 - 9:00 a.m. session

The language will be Processing - available for free at http://www.Processing.org/download/ for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. The programming principles are fairly universal.

The Programming 101 class is a support class for another offering, Arduino 101.  Arduino programming is based on Processing, hence the language choice.

Actual class registration is at https://www.eventbrite.com/event/8243716177

Note: This is a duplicate class of the 11:00 a.m. session, make sure you are not RSVP'd to both. We did this to reach out to more of our Makers!

Very good intro, this starting class should make it easier to do the Adruino class this Saturday now that we have seen how some of the beginning commands look like and behave.

Thanks to everyone who made it out. I hope found it informative.

I'll post a link to the PPT and Project file shortly. I encourage you to fire up Processing and tryout some of the things we discussed. Doing so will help you retain the information better.

If you have feedback on the class, positive or a critique, feel free to message me publicly or privately. We want to polish this course to help our members develop skills; I can't do that as well without participant feedback. I promise you won't hurt my feelings.

      Challenge accepted!
I assume you, or someone, will be riding shotgun? I haven't presented at the library so could use some assistance with setup and other logistics.

I was going to be there anyways so consider me shotgun Ezra. NRH Library is a great place and very welcoming! You'll feel right at home. Meet me there about 30 min ahead of the first class to finalize things. I'll make sure we all keep working on the PPT up until the last. I'll be adding a bunch of meat to it tonight.

Do you have a more specific registration link? Their calendar doesn't list the event and I didn't see it via other search methods.
