SOUTHLAKE: The Basics of Scrum

Is there any interest in going through the basics of Scrum. Talking about what Scrum is and what it is not? Given how quickly this framework is expanding do we have enough people interested in this topic??

Directions

From 114 exit at Kirkwood Blvd and head North towards the Sabre Campus.  As you approach the Sabre buildings go past Sabre Drive and either park in the garage or on the surface lot just east of the garage.

Walk towards the breezeway between the 2 buildings and stay to your right for building A.  Someone will greet you at the glass doors to let you into the building.  After entering the building the room is on your immediate right.

Our first ever SOUTHLAKE Chapter of DFWScrum was a smashing success. Thanks to Lance for his usual awesomeness! And thanks to all that attended, I hope to see you all at many more SOUTLAKE DFWScrum events.

Thanks Lance and Chris. Much needed topic and refresher for even experienced scrum users. Networked with a lot of great ppl last night.

For the beginners (like me) of scrum, take 15 mins of your time to read the Scrum guide. Dont be shy to admit you are new to scrum. Everything discussed last night will make a lot more sense: https://www.scrum.org/Scrum-Guide

Lance thanks again for organizing this. Especially for us folks closer to Southlake. Just wanted to introduce myself, hold CSM and CSPO certifications, looking to get CSP. Looking to refresh my Scrum skills.

We are experimenting with 2 locations for DFW Scrum. The original one in Dallas (Improving Enterprises) and one in NE Tarrant County (Southlake). This one is for Southlake at Sabre Holdings.

Hello Lance! I am new to the group and would love to attend "The Basics of SCRUM"; however, Addison is a much better location for me. I will attend the other session scheduled in Addison for the 15th and catch the basics course another time. Looking forward to the sessions!

I'll be looking forward to the new location and insights in Scrum application, it is important to get back to the basics from time to time. Particularly since so many companies have a need to modify it to make it "theirs".
