The subject of our next meeting will be Landlording in Philadelphia, with guest speaker Heather Petrone Shook, Associate Broker at Joseph D. Petrone Real Estate, Inc. in East Falls. Heather has extensive experience in Philadelphia property management, as well as teaching Real Estate Pre-Licensing and Continuing Education classes for Schlicher Kratz Institute. Heather is well versed in the field of real estate property management, leasing and sales and has represented 100+ landlords, written over 1000 leases throughout the NW Philly, manages (by choice) 25 properties or less in East Falls; and currently mentors 3 agents from other companies regarding leasing/rentals and property management.
Additionally, everyone will be given a chance to voluntarily present a short self biography of themselves (which we will continue to do at each meeting), including how long they have been in DIG, their real estate investment experience, what they are looking to learn as a result of attending the sub group and being a DIG member, etc. Networking will take place both before and after the meeting.

Heather A. Petrone-Shook was born, raised, and currently resides in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia. Heather was born in to a real estate dynasty and has been working side by side with her family from a young age. She became licensed in 1996 and acquired her Associate Brokers license in 2005. She is currently a member of the Greater Philadelphia Association of REALTORS®, Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS®, National Association of REALTORS®, Local area Multi-listing Association, and East Falls Community Council. She enjoys volunteering her time to serve on several local community committees. She enthusiastically teaches Real Estate Pre-Licensing courses as well as Continuing Education classes for Schlicher Kratz Institute. In 2007 she was sworn in as President of the Greater Philadelphia Association of REALTORS®, currently holding the position of the youngest President in the Associations 100+ year history. She received the Boyd T. Barnard REALTOR® of the Year Award – recognizing her significant contributions to the advancement of the real estate profession, the community, the Greater Philadelphia Association of REALTORS®, the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® during 2007. Her REALTOR® career has afforded her the opportunity to serve as a board of director and grievance committee member at the state level. Locally she currently serves as Professional Standards - chair and in the past as Grievance Committee - chair, Awards - chair, REALTORS® Political Action Committee – member and served on the SCOPES & PGW Task Force.
