First movie in this series: "Burning"

“Burning” is a 2018 South Korean psychological drama thriller directed by Lee Chang-Dong. It stars Steven Yeun of (The Walking Dead fame), Jeong Jong-seo, and Yoo Ah-In. The film is based on the short story "Barn Burning" by Haruki Murakami. It’s the first Korean film to make it on the Oscars/Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film shortlist.

It’s in Korean with English subtitles.

Synopsis: An introverted young man, Jongsu (Yoo Ah-in) finds romantic interest in a young woman from his past, Haemi (Jeong Jong-seo). One day she returns from a trip with Ben (Steven Yeun) a wealthy and sophisticated young man. When Haemi disappears, Jongsu becomes suspicious of Ben and his mysterious hobby.
