Fresh Start + Interesting Event

DS ProDers team,

It's been a while since our last Meetup, and I’m looking to revitalize the group.  To get a pulse for the current membership, I’d love to do a few dozen interviews to learn more about specific members, where they are in their careers, and their motivations for joining the group / what they think they might be able to get out of the group.  If you’re open to a 10-30 minute phone call, please reply and we can set up a convenient time.

Your help will be invaluable in setting the future direction of the group!

On a separate note - I also saw an interesting hands-on-coding workshop event for tomorrow hosted by Oracle / ActionSpot on "Managing Modern Databases."  Food & Networking at 6p PT, workshop at 6:30p PT at the Spark Arts Gallery [masked]th St. 94114).

If you want to pick up some extra coding experience and/or are interested in the topic, check it out here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/build-data-applications-using-cloud-native-kubernetes-technologies-free-workshop-by-oracle-tickets-59985861326

ABSTRACT:

The Monolithic to Microservices workshop gives you hands-on experience transforming a legacy monolith application into a Cloud Native microservices based application. The workshop showcases development through the eyes of six different persona’s inside a fictious company as they learn how to:
