As they say “the best ideas come from people who live the life on the daily basis in a given environment”, When it comes to problems faced in the city, it is the citizens who identify the problems and provide the best solutions.
Announcing the first annual Design for Houston (DfH) Challenge, an event that brings together Houstonians from all facets of life to find solutions to everyday problems faced by our city, Houston, as we invite you to come and join us and discover the process and applications of Design Thinking. For two days Houstonians will come together to understand problem context, do quick descriptive research, brainstorm to generate ideas, probably designing MVPs or working prototypes. City experts would be available to share the understanding of internal city processes and participants would get a chance to learn tools, techniques and best practices of Creative problem solving, Service Design, User Experience, and Design Thinking. The ideas developed during these days would be evaluated and hopefully adopted to put in use throughout our wonderful, international city.
